Let’s not beat about the bush, it’s all about The Dress

    To wear white or not, that is your choice, screw what your family would want, screw people who will say “But how will we know who the bride is?” If you’ve been invited you should already know, and also the one at the altar kinda gives it away. This is your wedding, so essentially do what will make you feel good and don’t feel like you need to spend ridiculous amounts either. Here’s a multitude of options and styles from affordably simple to outlandishly swish, not to mention an excuse to look at some hella pretty dresses.

How to ROCK up your white dress

Rockabilly styles are super swish, break up the white with sashes, underskirts, etc.

For a victorian goth edge – these two have impeccable taste

Adding a leather jacket will give you the edge you’re looking for

Bolero styles cover less dress, just be aware you could end up looking like the Bride of Chucky (unless that’s what you’re going for)

Break up the white with a corset and look bootilicious in Steampunk styles

If the idea of white is just not right, avoid looking like a bridesmaid with longer styles. Also if the dress isn’t white it’s cheaper (go figure) so you can afford to go a little more extravagant.

Your lovely chosen ladies will help you stand out as the bride, so pick something that contrasts and compliments your dress, I personally think matching dresses make more of an impact and the skater style is a safe one as it suits all body types.
